ruby throat THEN smacked in the side of the head by him! Is this

times but a Hummer??

I usually have one feeder hanging from my front porch. I recently
watched three hummers jockey for position around this one feeder.

My wife and I will be in Eugene, OR Sept 15 - 21 and would like to do a bit
of birding. We are considering Eugene as a place to retire and birding is
important to us.
Does anyone have any suggestions for places to bird near Eugene?

When do the hummingbirds usually depart the Northeast portion of West
Virginia?
I took down my feeders on Labor Day but they are still here and still

Hello - this may be tough to describe, but I'll try...
The area was Diamond Shoals, about 15 miles off the coast of Hatteras,

He described them to me as about 5 inches, black, very s... (Read More)

I got a new squirrel feeder, it is box shaped and has a lid that they are
supposed to be able to open to get the food. It does open from the top easily
but in the 2 months I have had it they have not learned how to open it. I have

weekend because I too have fledgling cardinals.
The answer I got is that cardinals can raise more than one brood in a
season , and often do.
Enjoy!
