Uh-Oh..The Blackbirds Are Back. That Means...!

Uh-Oh..The Blackbirds Are Back. That Means...! -- Posted by bthache on 08-10-03 22:47


Fall can't be too far away up here. After a month long absence, the
grackles and red winged blackbirds have returned with their young ones.
They should be here for another month or so and then..... dare I say it?!
Summer will be officially over! We may have our first snowfall by Sept.
20th.
I'll definitely be sad about the summer birds leaving but I'm already
getting excited about the idea of my beautiful pine grosbeaks returning for
the winter! :) Who could be sad about that?! With any luck, the evening
grosbeaks will decide they like my yard enough to stay all through this
winter as well like they did last year. We can hope!
