I have two parakeets, one that adopted us about 6 weeks ago (walked in the back door and stayed), and a companion we purchased. I'm considering purchasing a parakeet in a couple months or so. I did bird research a while ago on larger birds and I remember hearing that cockateils and cockatoos have a sort of dust that can aggrivate asthma.
