My CAG -- Posted by Bring IT on on 09-29-04 03:40
Hi there I have a 3 year old( so I was told) male CAG. I have been reading
about them and have come across a few articles regarding birds being on the
bottom of thier cages. My male ( I bought him a year ago at a pet store) got
a newer cage a few months back the transition went fine! I have noticed
lately that he sits on the bottom of his cage and as soon as I come into the
room he will climb up on his perch. He is a happy bird allowed the run of
the house and he is VERY tame! I wanted to know if this is something I
should be concerned about? When I bought him I took him to an avian vet and
was told he had cockcity? Whatever that is but I treated him as well as my
other bird and the followup was fine.
Thanks

Science News - March 6, 1999, by S. Milius
Life in a harem of males, ruled by one female, cramps a guy's style all right, but there's a way to fight back. Just yell.
The first detailed study of the bird call that ornithologists have nicknamed the yell--repeated, loud, raucous cries--reveals a novel way for males to compete for female fa... (Read More)
